Description Robert Half is looking for an accomplished, motivated Staff Accountant for a full-time position within a prestigious Industrial company. As Staff Accountant, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, you will also be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting. You will lend your skills in assisting the development and implementation of accounting policies. Also, you will take part in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This position is very involved as it will produce Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Located in the Atlanta, Georgia area, this position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work.What you get to do every dayAssemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting

Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable

Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease

Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation

Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives

Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested

Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries

In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision

Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation Requirements - Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills

General familiarity with Multi-state Returns

Full Cycle Payroll experience

Background working with Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

Account reconciliation experience highly preferred

Earlier work involving Bank Account Reconciliation

Adeptness in Multi-state Payroll

Foundational knowledge in ADP Workforce Now

Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR)

Demonstrated knowledge of Multi-state Tax

Practical knowledge of month end closings

Accounts Payable (AP) experience

Experience with NetSuite

Experience with ERP systems

Recent and relevant accounting experience

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent

Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills

BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

Self-starter and strong ethical standards
