Job SummaryAmentum is seeking a System Engineer - Navy / Undersea Warfare for the AN/SQQ-89 Program located in Manassas, Virginia.You are an excellent candidate for this position if you are enthusiastic and enjoy working as part of a development team. You have great interpersonal skills, and enjoy working in a dynamic and mission focused environment solving problems together.Responsibilities:Participation in HW design meetings, trade studies, and review of system integrator architecture design

Support efforts to understand and describe hardware decisions being made by the system integrator

Work with the system integrator team to provide oversight during the development and testing of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) enabled hardware solutions for the AN/SQQ-89(V) system

Perform a range of design development, analysis, or review tasks under some supervision

Prepare, deliver, and submit technical presentations for in process design and review meetings

Direct interface and liaison with customers at all levels from design and test activities, design reviews, and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications

Support development of technical proposal and provide comments on the technical content

Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline and at least 4 years of concurrent engineering experience with a Maritime major weapons control or Command and Control (C2) system program

Or US Naval operational experience in a combat systems rate at the E7 level or higher, and at least 4 years of concurrent engineering experience with a Maritime major weapons control or C2 system program

Or at least 8 years of concurrent engineering experience with a Maritime major weapons control or C2 system program

Experience must include one or more of the following:

Experience related to the design, planning, analysis, research, testing or documentation of complex systems

Experience with Navy surface ship weapons control or command and control systems

Experience understanding and developing Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), Interface Change Requests (ICD), Interface Design Specifications (IDS), Weapon Specifications (WS), or other system design/system integration documents

Knowledge of weapon and combat system certification processes and requirements, specifically self-certification criteria for elements of the Aegis Warfare System

Due to the nature of the work, must be a U.S. citizen

Must have an active Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications SQQ-89, AEGIS Combat System, DDG 51 class shipboard experience, IaaS
