Job Description: • Advise internal development teams on user interface design and usability through application of human factors principles, standards, and methodology to identify and mitigate design induced end-user performance issues. • Influence and gather stakeholder requirements and contribute to their translation into innovative designs that support usability and safety goals • Anticipate, identify, and influence the mitigation of safety hazards throughout the product development lifecycle • Design and lead complex research studies that build upon previous findings, and contribute to continuous design improvement across multiple projects, while adapting to and working within project and organizational constraints • Define and defend the usability and safety goals for a product group and influence the integration of goals and research findings into development processes and KPIs Additional Skills: • Experience in qualitative and quantitative o Usability testing facilitation, analysis, and result presentation o Interview facilitation o Survey design o Ability to synthesize data in a clear and concise manner o Basic research study design setup • Conducting literature reviews • Excellent written and oral skills- HFRs frequently present their work to internal stakeholders and must be able to advocate for UX/HF in a convincing and intelligible manner • Strong collaboration skills • Ability to seek out and provide feedback and critique • Appreciates and has a desire to follow outlined processesIf interested in applying for this position, please send resume to Lauren Bagby ()EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
