The agency employs over 15,000 people and its annual sales exceed $4 billion.ResponsibilitiesOperate an electronic checkout system, makes change, and verifies change fund and amount of currency received during an assigned shift. Manage change machines ensuring proper amounts of cash and coins are available. Assist customers by answering questions concerning prices, identification, and location of items. Count cash and negotiable instruments to prepare an accountability report. Manage the self-check-out registers assisting customers in the correct processing of their purchases. Change register tape, and clear routine equipment and scanning jams on registers.RequirementsConditions of EmploymentQualificationsTo meet the minimum qualifications for this position you must possess (1) 6 months of general experience, OR (2) one full year of education above high school, OR (3) a combination of experience and education that equals 100% of the qualification requirements. General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates the ability to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of this position.
