Duties and Responsibilities

Pre-Suit case evaluation

Legal Research

Draft pleadings i.e. complaints, responses to MTD, MSJ etc.

Settlement negotiations

Prepare and attend Depositions

Prepare and respond to discovery and deal with discovery issues

Attend court hearings

Development of novel causes of action in healthcare claims

Escalate and resolve the day-to-day issues at related to healthcare litigation

Collaborate with staff to ensure deadlines are met

Requirements

Strong project management and time management skills, including abilities to multi-task, focus on details, and meet strict deadlines

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently with ambition, accountability, urgency, toward effective action

Strong ability with Microsoft Office Suite programs (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Education / Specialized Knowledge

Requirements:

Juris Doctorate Degree

Bilingual preferred (English and Spanish)

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
