About Us

Come and join our dynamic team, practicing immigration law with renowned and experienced attorneys at The Law Offices of Sandra Echevarria! Candidates must be licensed to practice law in the state of Florida and must have the knowledge and experience necessary to provide legal advice and representation to our clients. The job will consist of the following:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide clients with legal counseling and advise clients on legal concerns and on their rights.

- Provide clients with legal representation.

- Remain current on all matters related to immigration law.

- Supervise and work closely with the paralegal team.

- Work with the Executive Director as it pertains to meeting grant scopes and objectives.

- Maintain accurate records and notes on all cases.

- Organize, plan, and execute all aspects related to legal counseling, representation and coordination of paralegal assistance.

- Attend all necessary internal and external meetings.

- Manage the overflow of cases and retain new clients.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

- Speak and Write in Spanish and English / Bilingual

- Able to effectively and efficiently multitask, set priorities, shift priorities, and adapt to changes in situations

- Willing to work in a stressful environment and be people-oriented

- Hold strong oral and written communication skills

- Strong legal researching skills

- Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

- Handle projects and client communications of a highly sensitive and confidential nature, where absolute discretion is critical

- Provide excellent customer service

- Manage and resolve unexpected situations on a regular basis

- Demonstrate original thinking and creativity; meet challenges with resourcefulness; develop innovative approaches and ideas and present them in a clear and effective manner

- Work a flexible schedule, including nights & weekends if needed to meet a deadline for a case

- Skilled in: Word, Excel, and WestLaw

- Must have reliable transportation/vehicle

- Flexible with traveling out of town and out of state

Pluses/Extras

- Business Immigration Law experience

- Family Law experience

- Criminal Law experience

- Employment-based and/or Family-based visas and consular processing experience.

Compensation: The starting annual salary is based on experience.
