Job Description: Desktop Support & Help Desk Technician
  • Shift: Mon- Fri 8am-5pm

Overview
  • Experienced desktop support technician with strong customer skills, reliable transportation. A+ certification requested but not mandatory. Prefer at least 3 year previous of experience.
  • General IT troubleshooting will likely be asked how to do certain things within the Windows operating system, and Microsoft apps like Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, OneNote.
  • Strong customer service skills - personable, empathetic, patient - Will be handing off computers to our internal users
  • Provides day-to-day technical support to employees for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems software and hardware. Performs general maintenance tasks and resolves problems immediately, while more complex issues are identified to a higher level of support. Installs, configures and troubleshoots desktop systems and workstations
  • Communicates highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel
  • May be called upon to recommend hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades
  • May participate in development of information technology and infrastructure projects
  • May involve use of problem management databases and help desk system
  • A+ Cert preferred
Required Qualifications:
  • Able to work from a bent, crouched, or kneeled position
  • Smartphone with tethering/hot spot capabilities (Reimbursed within Corporate Guidelines)
  • Candidate must maintain good customer focus meeting deadlines and service level agreements (SLA's)
  • Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs Desktop, Laptop, Server and Printer
  • Works well under general supervision
Minimum Requirements:
  • 2-5 years of related work experience
  • 2-5 years plus supporting Desktops, Laptops and Printers.
  • 2-5 years plus with customer service experience
  • Personable as they will be interacting with a wide range of users and environment
  • Solid experience and understanding of IT services and products
