- Complex system implementations and integrations
- Solution design and development
- Support and enhance a production ERP
- Write ad-hoc queries, SQL reports, stored procedures, SQL jobs and functions to support management teams
- Requirements gathering
- Work with API's to interact with SQL based applications
- Responsible for analyzing data from multiple disparate sources, determine meaning behind the data and make business-specific recommendations
- Usage and support of database, ETL, and visualization tools
- Create visualizations
- Responsible for being SME on the use of database products and tools
- Design, implement, and enhance ESM platforms and services
- Experience with CRM configuration and integration
- Provide oversight, recommendations, and consulting support for delivered products
- Contribute to the development of project timelines, plans, oversight, and delivery of assigned projects
- Lead external vendors and ensure quality of their work as it pertains to this area of the IT practice
- Create documentation for technical and non-technical audiences
- Develop and provide training (some technical) to users on best practices and use of products and tools.
- Contribute to building data as a practice including governance, quality, and partnerships with both internal and external entities
- Effective and proactive communication
- Provide courteous and quality customer service
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education or (3) years' direct experience in database support and information delivery.
- 5 years' experience in database, hardware/software, computer networks/security and /or information technology
- Experience building and maintaining a Data Warehouse
- Proven development skills and experience in MS SQL Server with expertise in T-SQL, Stored Procedures/Views/Triggers and SQL Queries
- Experience with SSIS and SSRS or other ETL
- Direct experience in supporting a production ERP
- General Ledger and Finance experience / support desired
- Development skills and experience with MS SQL 2018
- Experience with ETL, SQL, and Reporting/Dashboard tools (i.e., Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, etc) a plus
- Azure experience a plus
- Expertise in creating the appropriate data visualizations to uncover patterns to answer business questions a plus
- Experience creating documentation for technical and customer recipients
- Demonstrated analytic and diagnostic skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills
- Ability to work independently and self-directed
- Effective organization and time management skills
- Understanding and experience with formal project delivery (Agile / Waterfall)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to handle constantly changing flow of traffic, remain productive during slow times, be able to prioritize effectively during busy times, and exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations
- Possesses excellent knowledge sharing techniques
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and consult effectively with employees at all levels
