100% Remote - Depending on COVID, 50/50 remote/onsiteOur client, an insurance industry leader, needs a talented Business Data Analyst to understand and communicate business requirements in order to integrate client data into internal systems.Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Responsibilities of the Business Data Analyst:- Understand the data and business requirements for each of the client products, processes, and systems and communicate those needs to internal and external client's business and IT staff
- Work with companies to communicate specification needs
- Participate in testing client data files
- Work with development team to ensure smooth transition of data, from first test file through full implementation
- Coordinate test results back to the client company
- Test files and processes; configure rules in systems as needed
- Help to identify key areas of enhancement as needed (process improvement)
- Review and correct errors as needed to ensure metadata flows correctly for consumption purposes
- Work with Data Governance Manager as needed to identify areas of concern
- Bachelor's degree in Business or IT and/or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in data intake and working knowledge of P&C insurance industry
- Insurance business acumen, underwriting knowledge, insurance based systems knowledge
- T Background or System Configuration experience preferred
- Process improvement experience
- Proficient in SQL and Microsoft Excel
- Understanding of internal databases and data structures
- Adaptable to change
