Title: Systems Vulnerability Engineer Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid from Day1) Duration: 12 months Project Details (or a sampling if multiple): Handling Windows Windows Patching and vulnerability management. Working daily in VMware BigFix is a huge plus but not a must have, WSUS would also be a tool that's a huge plus. They needs strong Windows Patching experience and the ability to show proven Windows Admin experience. Basic Purpose: The Systems Vulnerability Engineer is primarily responsible for taking the lead on vulnerability management for Eaton Vance's server and storage environment. As a senior role in the team, focus will be placed on working closely with security teams to address vulnerability and patching for technologies which the team is responsible. This position requires working independently in a team-based environment to meet prescribed goals and objectives. Primary Responsibilities: Establish standards, methodologies and schedules for patching/upgrading infrastructure, including hardware and software for server and storage technologies Establish reliable and repeatable patching processes for Microsoft Windows Server environment using BigFix Provide accurate reporting and status of patching efforts per maintenance event Participate in bi-monthly patch cycles for windows servers across multiple maintenance events for dev, uat and production systems Collaborate closely with InfoSec teams to identify and respond to critical vulnerabilities in our environment Experience: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years experience in an enterprise systems environment Minimum of 3 years experience with enterprise patching tool such as BigFix Proven experience as a windows systems administrator Familiarity with common data center technologies such as VMware, storage and backup technologies Proven ability to automate with Powershell and/or Ansible is preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent project management focus to meet required time lines. Good problem solving skills, enthusiastic work approach and self-motivated. Ability to work within predefined guidelines pertaining to change control and compliance requirements Ability to work as part of a team and with others in all levels of the organization.
