- Research and recommend meeting/event venues and coordinate logistics including attendee registration, transportation, accommodations, meals, and technology.
- Conducts rehearsals and system checks of all equipment and connectivity.
- Researches and maintains relationships with vendors for meeting/event support services.
- Coordinate budget planning and ensure that meetings/events stay within cost projections.
- Assure all events meet and exceed expectations by following established procedures, collaborating with other employees, and ensuring accuracy.
- Facilitate communications and follow-up including invitations and pre/post event materials.
- Other duties as assigned.
- This position requires a minimum of five years event planning, marketing, communications and/or hospitality experience.
- Previous experience with Vendor relations and negotiation is required.
- Previous experience managing a budget is preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft office, including skills with Word, Excel and PowerPoint, is necessary.
- Strong organizational skills and initiative to improve processes is crucial.
- Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization is necessary; must be able to clearly articulate ideas verbally and in writing.
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure, accurately meet deadlines and present a professional demeanor is necessary.
- The ability to work successfully both independently and within a team is necessary.
- Ability to motivate self and others is necessary.
- Proven ability to collaborate across the Company including the ability to manage and respond to different organizational situations while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude is essential.
- In addition, organizational and problem solving skills, a can-do attitude, and the ability to adjust to changing requirements are essential.
