Job Title: Cloud/Platform Operation Manager Location: Denver, CO (Onsite Role, with remote option for 2-3 weeks to start) Job Type: Contract Job Duties and Responsibilities: The ideal candidate is an experienced professional who is sharp and excited about applying the vast experience they bring in here. In this role you will have the opportunity to apply your skills to help develop robust, scalable and distributed solutions. You must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the needs of multiple teams, systems and products. Main responsibilities:

  • Organizing and controlling the activities of the team, assigning staff to various projects and directing their activities through goal setting;
  • Acting as a mentor for the team;
  • Implementing the necessary processes and culture to align the Cloud Operations vision with the overall business strategy, delivering high-quality services;
  • Supporting other technical teams with R&D and recommendations on the use of technology;
  • Identifying and evaluating new technologies and processes that might help the team deliver better solutions and service;
  • Guaranteeing that the Cloud Operations team provide frameworks that the engineering teams can deliver their products to the customers;
  • Guaranteeing the infrastructure lifecycle is properly managed;
  • Ensuring that processes are followed by the team;
  • Supporting the team in troubleshooting complex performance and system issues;
  • Synchronizing with our Support team;
  • Prioritizing workload according to Business needs;
  • Ensuring and facilitating knowledge sharing within the department;
  • Participating in RFP's and RFI's;
  • Supporting Sales and executives with strategy and cost estimation;
  • Supporting CS and PMO with guidance on infrastructure services;
  • Liaising with Architects, Developers to make sure technology stack is always in sync
Key Skill Set:
  • Lead initiatives, patching/upgrade schedules, support help channels tracking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical team members
  • Mentoring and coaching other technical team members to assess needs, provide assistance, and resolve technical problems;
  • Comfortable working with an Agile approach
  • Experience with Service Now, DevSecOps process, AWS, Gitlab.
