We are seeking individuals who are self-starters, have a positive attitude, value a safe productive workplace, take pride in a job well done and are team oriented. We have multiple on-going jobs throughout Vermont. Apply today to learn more. Key Responsibilities:Operate heavy equipment, Excavators, Bulldozers, and Loaders in compliance with safety procedures.

Manage the flow of work to ensure that all crew members are occupied with productive tasks and that production targets are met.

Work closely with other team members; communicate clearly, respectfully, and in a timely manner.

Assess and make recommendations about the safe execution of trenching and back fill, as well as experience managing trench box placement. History of safe work in close proximity to laborers and other team members.

Maintain a neat, clean, and safe work environment both in and around the machine.

Conduct daily equipment checks and perform daily maintenance including greasing, cleaning, check fluid levels, and other required daily checks.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Experience & Attributes:

10+ years’ Experience with operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently -Excavator and Bulldozer.

Candidates with experience using CAT controls set up preferred.

Ability to read plans.

Experience working with GPS.

Strong communication skills.

Ability to implement safe work practices and stay alert to changing work conditions.

Ability and desire to work outdoors in all weather in a physically demanding position 50+ hours per week.

Desire to learn, improve, and succeed.

Must be able to stand, sit, climb inclines and walk up to 8 hours

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Must be able to pass drug test.

Willingness to travel.

Must be 18 years or older.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must be able to pass a drug test.

Willingness to travel

Must have reliable transportation to jobsite.

Valid driver's license is preferred.

Education:

Ability to participate in regulatory trainings (Confined Space, Haz Whopper, MSHA)
