Join the New Century Health team and put your passion to work for transforming the U.S. health care landscape for patients, providers and payers.What You’ll Be Doing:The VP, Medical Economics (Oncology) is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of NCH’s oncology-related medical economics and advanced analytics to support prospective and current Client Health Plans and Provider Groups, including pricing of value based arrangements and ongoing cost and quality management. VP, Medical Economics (Oncology) must demonstrate excellent knowledge of oncological cost drivers, trend analytics and market intelligence, including new drug development pipeline, and will collaborate with cross-departmental teams (Growth, Product, Operations, and Finance) to develop a cohesive and comprehensive financial model and corresponding medical management plan to achieve business goals.Essential duties and responsibilities include:

Develop oncology payment models, including capitation rate determination, using advanced risk analytics (e.g., Monte Carlo simulation)

Lead team of analysts in the analysis and interpretation of oncology cost and utilization data (medical and pharmaceutical) to determine clinical and network optimization opportunities

Design and execution of provider performance tools, including client-facing dashboards and value-based incentives

Oversee ongoing development of existing reporting environments with a focus on standardization and consolidation

Represents New Century Health in relevant interactions with Client Health Plan leadership

Provides key inputs into annual budget, monthly financial close and reporting, and forecast development / refinement

Sets clear goals and objectives using metrics to measure performance while holding staff accountable

Provides coaching to improve performance and hold regular development discussions with direct reports

The Experience You’ll Need (Required):

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematical, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science

Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of oncology-related analytics

Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership with superior management skills and a successful track record of leading, developing, and mentoring leaders and future leaders

Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power BI, and SQL or SAS

A strategic thinker and tactical executor who can move an idea from concept to reality

Ability to achieve organizational objectives and facilitate process improvement

Proven ability to interact with and influence clients at all levels

Finishing Touches (Preferred):

Master’s degree in relevant field

Experience in the oncology pharmaceutical industry

Intense intellectual curiosity and an ability to view old problems with a fresh perspective

Ability to effectively engage with and influence staff from central functions without direct reporting control
