Duration: 3.0 monthsDescriptionDescription:EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Performs general clinical laboratory wok such as hematological, serological, chemical, bacteriological, and parasitological tests using standardized procedures to determine incidence of disease or abnormal conditions.

Groups, types, can cross matches blood and determines antibodies and blood count.

Performs qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses of blood, urine, and other body fluids.

Operates manual and automated laboratory equipment; prepares culture media, stains, and reagents.

Stocks solutions; analyzes and interpret laboratory data; maintains records and makes reports.RECRUITING GUIDELINES:Knowledge of: Principles, techniques, equipment, and terminology necessary for laboratory diagnosis of diseases and abnormal condition knowledge of common disease causes;

Methods of transmission and control of communicable diseases; Proper laboratory safety procedures.Ability to:Operate technical laboratory equipment; Skillfully perform standardized laboratory tests; Maintain technical records and prepare reports; Establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees.OTHER REQUIREMENTS:License/Certificate: Possession of a valid Clinical Laboratory Scientist License issued by the Department of Health Services.VIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
