We are seeking a full-time Boutique/Café Manager for our welcoming, fun and immersive new location on Central Avenue in Whitefish, MT. The Manager is responsible for providing an exceptional shopping and café experience, maximizing sales and managing the boutique’s visual and operational standards. The Manager will work with our corporate and upper management team to develop and maintain a happy and high-performing staff while also meeting and exceeding weekly and monthly sales goals.

Employee and Team Development:

Follow company criteria when hiring, training and reviewing employees.

Administer appropriate and timely performance reviews, warnings and compensation while keeping employee records up to date.

Resolve employee performance issues promptly with proper documentation.

Monitor team morale and take proactive steps to keep morale high with active communication, praise and positivity.

Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of retail merchandise and the café menu.

Ensure Sales Associates and Baristas are properly trained on product knowledge (retail goods, food and drinks), sales techniques and customer service to provide an exceptional experience for all guests.

Create enthusiasm and excitement to motivate team members while helping them reach individual, team and company goals.

Continuously motivate sales staff and help build confidence to meet projected sales and assigned productivity goals.

Sales Team Development and Leadership:

Work closely with the corporate and management team to create attainable weekly, monthly and seasonal sales goals and evaluate results as needed.

Present analysis of weekly, monthly and seasonal sales goals to corporate and management team.

Manage and conduct training with team members as needed.

Develop strategic plans to help the Retail and Café teams grow, develop and excel.

Customer Service, including but not limited to:

Ensure all Retail and Café staff provide the highest level of customer service.

Build genuine relationships with customers.

Ensure customers receive their food, drinks and other products in a timely manner.

Assist Retail and Café staff with various customer service issues (i.e. dissatisfied customers, returns and defective merchandise) and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Operations, including but not limited to:

Organize and prepare work schedules for employees to ensure the appropriate amount of staff is available for each work shift.

Manage payroll while overseeing budgeted hours.

Strive for 100% accuracy and compliance in cash procedures (bank deposits/courier services, drawer funds and petty cash), inventory and visual merchandising standards.

Ensure facility presentation, organization and maintenance.

Maintain accountability for opening and closing the boutique.

Critical Knowledge, Experience and Professional Qualities, including but not limited to:

Proven team leadership, excellent customer service and top-notch interpersonal communication skills.

Excellent sales, organization and operational skills.

Strong visual background and merchandising skills.

Ability to foster a work climate that inspires mutual trust, respect, professionalism and teamwork to achieve goals.

Proficiency in basic computer programs such as MS Word and Excel.

Familiarity with POS systems such as Shopify.

Knowledge of retail math and sales reports.

Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Flexibility and adaptability.
