Dental Assistant (Truckee, CA)

At Truckee Pediatric Dentistry we take pride in providing excellent care to our patients in a caring and compassionate environment. We are currently seeking an outstanding Dental Assistant to join our team. Our dental assistants are responsible for creating a calm and warm environment for our patients and families. The dental assistant is expected to set the tone for the appointment by engaging in purposeful conversations that identify the patients motivators and concerns and captures all pertinent information through effective communication skills. The assistant will coordinate with the front office team to ensure seamless delivery of care for our families. We are seeking a candidate that is a self-starter, conscientious, decisive, can solve problems, and who possess very high standards of care.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities for this position:

- Organized charting skills

- Excellent clinical skills

- Familiarity with all the instruments necessary for each procedure and how the dentist likes to be supported

- Disinfection and sterilization skills meeting or exceeding OSHA standards

- Ability to function within a team environment and as a supportive and positive contributor

While experience is preferred for this position, we are willing the train an individual who possess the desired skill set.
