Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer - DevSecOps to join the Autonomous Systems (AS) Maritime Undersea (MU) organization in Herndon VA or Huntington Beach CA. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.Maritime Undersea consists of a diverse portfolio of programs, giving selected candidates the opportunity to shape MU's software DevSecOps strategy and lead programs through all phases of implementation and migration to a common framework and approach to DevSecOps principals.Position Responsibilities:

  • Serve as subject matter expert in software DevSecOps principals and implementations for the business unit
  • Lead development of individual program DevSecOps implementation strategies and tool chain recommendations
  • Independently setup working tool chains for automated build, test, integration and deployment pipelines
  • Train and mentor program SW engineers in DevSecOps principals
  • Collaborate with other SW leads across the portfolio and Boeing DevSecOps domain leaders for improvements and implementation of the DevSecOps tool chain
  • Support the software quality efforts of our Boeing product deliveries to our customers
  • Works under minimal direction
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires an active US Top Secret Clearance for which the US Government requires ship. (A U.S. Top Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Experience implementing an automated SW CI/CD pipeline through operational deployment
  • 10+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ year of CI/CD implementation experience
  • Must possess a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or related technical field
Desired Qualifications (Preferred Skills/Experience):
  • SCI with CI Poly
  • Experience with deployment and configuration of Coverity static scanning
  • Experience with deployment and configuration of SonarCube static scanning
  • Experience with deployment and configuration of dynamic scanning solutions
  • Experience with deployment and configuration of RMF scanning tool
  • Experience with tracking and publishing automated test reports from the build pipeline
  • Familiarity with automated SW builds utilizing containers
  • Experience with software automated artifact version control and management
Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
