As a CMM Programmer for John Deere Harvester Works located in East Moline, IL you will develop, test, and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machine programs in alignment with Enterprise Standards. In addition, you will:

Write CMM program for complex parts and fixtures using DMIS programming language

Participate in functional geometry reviews and support proper use of GD&T

Work with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Operations personnel to resolve production quality issues and interpreting CMM output as it pertains to evaluating part quality and developing machining processes

Design and coordinate fabrication of measurement tooling and fixturing to support the measurement or inspection of parts

Lead projects as requested by CMM Supervisor to drive innovation, metric performance etc.

Participates in activities in developing and auditing Quality Processes, John Deere Quality Production Systems (JDQPS) and ISO 9000

Serve as backup for CMM Supervisor and assist in providing work direction and continued efforts to help meet CMM lab productivity goalsVisa sponsorship is NOT available for this position.Click or Tap Here to APPLY NOW!What Skills You Need:

1 to 3 years prior CMM Programming, routines, or measurement experience

1 to 3 years’ experience applying standard for geometric dimensioning and tolerancing for simple and complex weld, assembly, and fixtures (GD&T)

1 to 3 years’ experience working in an Engineering or Operations role

Strong interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skillsWhat Makes You Stand Out:

Knowledge of basic data analysis techniques (e.g. pareto charts, histograms, pie and bar charts and control plans.)

Technical skills and knowledge in specialized areas of engineering, e.g. design, analysis, test, evaluation, etc.

Experience with visualization software such as PowerBI as well as advanced Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Power Shell, Visual Basic)

1 to 3 years’ experience using John Deere Metrology tools and applications (DMIS, Creo, Kotem, Metrolog and JDCMM)

Ability to train and mentor wage and salary staff

Ability to work with machine vendors to troubleshoot and maintain machine uptime.Education:

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
