As an Order Fulfillment Process (OFP) Manufacturing Engineer Variable Shift for John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline, IL, you will provide Assembly Manufacturing Engineer (ME) support and troubleshooting for current operations in the X9 Combine business unit.
Additionally you will.
Identify and implement continuous improvement projects impacting safety, quality, efficiency, cost, and ergonomic improvements for department
Establish routings, SOE (sequence of events), layouts, tooling, assembly costs, OMS, and control plans for revisions to current operations
Work with SAP, MPPlanner, and JDAAT to perform engineering functions

Good communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with salaried and wage personnel in a team environment
A self-starter with the ability to execute a variety of tasks
Experience in one of more related engineering areas: industrial, reliability, design, manufacturing, or quality
Understanding of manufacturing processes and working in a production environment
Experience with shop floor documentation (Sequence of Events, Labor Standards, and Operator Methods Sheets)
Ability to work off shifts and weekends if needed
Experience with engineering tools, systems and databases
Experience with line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management toolsWhat Makes You Stand Out:
Experience working with incentive pay systems, especially gainsharing programs such as CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plan)
Experience working in a union environment
Experience with torque tooling
Experience with AutoCAD and Creo View softwareEducation:
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
