As an OFP Quality Engineer – Variable Shift for John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline, IL, you will provide Assembly Engineering support and troubleshooting for current operations in the Combine Equipment business unit.
Identify and implement continuous improvement projects impacting safety, quality, efficiency, cost, and ergonomic improvements for department
Establish process controls, tooling, assembly methods, OMS, and control plans for revisions to current operations
Work with SAP, MPPlanner, and JDAAT to perform engineering functions

Good communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with salaried and wage personnel in a team environment
A self-starter with the ability to execute a variety of tasks
Experience in one of more related engineering areas: industrial, reliability, design, manufacturing, or quality
Understanding of manufacturing processes and working in a production environment
Experience with shop floor documentation (Sequence of Events, SAR, PFMEA, and Operator Methods Sheets)
Ability to work 1st or 3rd shift and weekends
Experience with engineering tools, systems, and databases
Experience with line manufacturing process design and MES controlsWhat Makes You Stand Out:
Experience with MPPlanner for SOE and OMS development
Experience working Closed Loop Corrective Action and JDAAT coding
Experience working in a union environment
Experience with Factory MES systems
Experience with torque tooling
Experience with AutoCAD and Creo View software

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
