If you are seeking a dynamic, innovative environment, this opportunity is for you!The 777 commercial airplane program is seeking Project Management specialists to support our Production Engineering teams. Production Engineering is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and improving the production system at our factory in Everett, Washington.The selected candidate(s) will work alongside technical teams tasked with identifying and solving production system problems. Our Project Managers prioritize, organize, and drive completion of this critical workPrimary Responsibilities:

  • Organize similar projects into collections ("portfolios") supporting various factory improvement initiatives such as Safety and Quality.
  • Monitor risks and correct issues to bring portfolios and/or projects back on track.
  • Compile regular communications for senior leaders on how portfolios are performing.
  • Work to continuously improve our Production Engineering project management system.
  • Develop and implement project management processes and business systems that streamline and simplify project oversight and decision-making.
  • Integrate industry-standard project management best practices with Boeing-specific tools and processes, such as the Boeing Problem Solving Model (BPSM).
  • Develop overall project plans consistent with project objectives as defined by the project owner and key stakeholders in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, and ISO standards).
  • Advise and guide engineers working individual production system improvement projects.
  • Support all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
  • Act as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
  • Ensure that project control systems are in place and integrate project data for decision makers.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes , lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
  • 6 or more years of experience managing complex technical projects utilizing standard project management tools.
  • 6 or more years working directly with individual engineers and/or engineering managers.
  • Experience with senior-level communication including developing presentations, performance metrics, and report-outs.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • Project management certification (PMP, PMI, PMBOK, PMBP, etc).
  • Full proficiency with MS Office suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Typical Education/Experience:
  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
