POSITION PURPOSE:

Reporting directly to the IT Manager, maintains the Corporate network and all related systems for (2) Physical sites of Denver, CO and Camdenton, MO. Overall responsibility for the design, engineering and day-to-day support of the internal data center, corporate LAN, WAN, and WLAN. Position entails leadership in the design of future networks as the company looks to innovate its IT department, including product evaluation, selection, testing, implementation, migration and support. Monitor and manage security devices such as Firewalls, wireless, RF devices and other security and backup solutions. Manage and support cloud platforms and applications. Platform contains Novell, Linux and Microsoft servers, O365, MS Azure AD, Computer management software, VoIP system and Oracle ERP.

ATTENDANCE AND SCHEDULE:

Consistent and regular full-time schedule (4-day work week) is required. At times due to work load, extra hours may be required to complete the functions of the job. May have to work off-hours and participate in on-call schedule to provide additional support to other shifts.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Prefer a B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related experience.

Experienced in managing Palo Alto firewalls and switches, as well as knowledge of proper network design and network security.

Experienced with Cloud technologies, migrations and integrations.

Experienced Microsoft Technology stack including Microsoft Server, Windows 10, SharePoint and OneDrive, Azure Active Directory.

Experienced with print solution, preferably related to Loftware Printing management and Printronix

Knowledge of Linux and Novell OS are a plus.

Knowledge of ERP software and business processes related to ERP is a bonus

Exemplary communication skills both written and verbal across all levels of the organization.

Demonstrated experience in prior positions of self-direction and leadership in similar role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Designs, configures and implements LAN, WAN solutions between multiple platforms. Includes email, filters, firewalls and monitoring. Backups, System Virus/Threat protection.

Plans network design and manages the implementation of data network infrastructure components and coordinates the development and maintenance of procedures, specifications and standards.

Evaluates, tests, recommends, and implements specific network solutions.

Assists with Help Desk Service requests. Acts as level II and level III support analyst as needed. Delivers results in support of achieving the organization’s Service Level Agreements.

Support IT solutions and projects on manufacturing floor. Collaborate with plant floor engineers with machine connectivity and software solutions.

Provides Project Management. Schedules and coordinates installation and maintenance of software/hardware on the network and ensures compatibility of all communications and computer hardware/software. Manages network projects related to technology pilots, conversions, implementations. Plans and implements maintenance, modifications and enhancements to the network.

Investigates and resolves problems, inefficiencies, and network performance. Analyzes network performance and makes recommendations for improvements.

Coordinates network changes with affected departments with proper communication and testing. – Change Management

Maintains high level of expertise on current and emerging technologies.

OTHER DUTIES:

Assist the I.S. staff in some or all of the following:

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) monitoring

ERP user support

Procurement of computer hardware, software and supplies

Documentation

Physical Environment and Working Conditions

Must be able to work and remain focused on detail in an open office environment where other department phones and business conversations are a part of the environment.

Must be able sit at a PC and perform IS functions for 90% of the work day.

Must be able to walk distances to various locations in the Plant and interact directly end-users.

Must be able to physically set-up or tear down computers, which would include, twisting, kneeling, bending, reaching, and stretching.

Must have good visual acuity in order to perform the computer functions of the job sometimes in dimly lit or hard to get to areas in manufacturing/production.

Must be able to work nights and/or weekends should the need arise in order to perform system maintenance projects.

Some travel may be required to Laker facility.

Must be available for after hour system monitoring and support if need arises.Apply Now
