Skills include: Environmental Control System Design and Installation (ECS), Fuel System Design and Installation, Hydraulic System Design and Installation, Thermal Analysis, Mechanical Systems Design (Landing Gear, Mechanisms, and Secondary Power).Position Responsibilities:
- Supports the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design.
- Supports the development, maintenance or modification of system, component and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups.
- Performs and documents system performance using computational analysis tools to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Performs detail vehicle integration design using 3D model based engineering design tools.
- Contributes to supplier development, test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals.
- Supports system components' designs/proposals standards to provide installation and detail documentation. Trains others.
- Works under general direction.
- Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Aeronautical/Aerospace/Astronautical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience do you have working with computer aided design such as CATIA, Solidworks, or Siemens NX.
- Experience with Product Data Management tools/systems such as TeamCenter and ENOVIA.
- Experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD), utilizing model-based definition, in Unigraphics
- Experience with thermal analysis tools such as Thermal Desktop.
- Experience working with aircraft fluid systems design and components including pumps, valves, heat exchangers and controls.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a multi-discipline team environment.
- Ability to develop solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems, requiring ingenuity and innovation as necessary.
