Mechanical Helper (Vandenberg Air Force Base)

We are currently hiring for a mechanical helper position in the Vandenberg AFB area. This position is full-time, temporary, and open ended. This position will start anywhere between 6 am - 8 am (start times may vary) and the shifts are 8-12 hours long. Applicants must be okay with working 5-7 days a week. The pay rate for this position is $17.00-$25.00 an hour (DOE). If you are interested and qualified, apply ASAP

Duties & responsibilities include but are not restricted to:

Performs general mechanical duties as assigned

Troubleshoot issues

Duties include tube cutting, tube bending, installation and service of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment

Uses power and hand tools

Operates equipment that may include company vehicles, forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, etc.

Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned

Always adhere to safety protocols

Skills & Qualifications

High School diploma or GED

Valid California driver’s license, clean driving record

Ability to gain Vandenberg AFB access.

Ability to lift, move, push up to 50 lbs

Plumbing experience (desired)

HVAC certification (desired)
