The Certified Nursing Assistant provides each resident with routine daily nursing care in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan.

Requirements:

High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

Current Certified Nursing Assistant Indiana certificate and CPR certification required.

CNA experience in another health care facility preferred but will provide on the job training.

Duties (included but not limited to):

Assisting patients with daily personal hygiene activities, (bathing, mouth care, dressing/undressing, hair and nail care).

Assisting with turning, lifting, positioning and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, spa tub, wheelchairs, and lifts.

Answering call lights promptly.

Effective communication with the patient and all members of the team.

Keeps nursing supervisors informed by observing patients and reporting adverse reactions to medication or treatment.

Maintains equipment and supplies.

Performs routine laboratory tests by collecting samples, such as urine, blood, and sputum.
