Job Summary

Ellingson Companies is currently seeking an Ag Drainage Surveyor to join our growing team. Surveyors design and layout Drainage Projects and assist with production and engineering, as needed. Our surveyors spend just as much time in the field staking project, as they do in the office designing projects. We use cutting edge technology to meet the needs of both our external and internal customers. Ellingson Companies is willing to train and develop highly motivated candidates with these qualities:

Ability to travel 1-3 nights per week (travel on average 1.5 nights per week)

The main functions of this position include, but are not limited to:

Design, layout, and survey water management systems.

Operate RTK GPS and laser.

Draft survey maps and plans.

Operate ATV and backhoe.

Requirements:

Ability to perform physically demanding work in the field (including standing/walking most of the day, kneeling, squatting, operating hand tools, etc.)

Willingness to work overtime

Ability to work in a team with a positive attitude, as well as individually

Ability to travel (hotel stay and per diem explained during interviewing process)

Additional Qualifications (Not Required):

One year of construction surveying experience

Drafting experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D (We provide access and training with Civil 3D and GIS platforms)
