Job Summary:

The Security Lead will serve as the liaison between the Security Officers and Supervisors as well as to train staff on how to effectively provide security and protection for guests, team members and the property on assigned shifts in accordance with departmental standards.

Job Responsibilities:

At least 1 year previous experience in security law enforcement or military.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm in a very high-paced and stressful environment.

Ability to access all areas of the facility, and withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying items.

Ability to deal effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts.

Ability to work under pressure, maintain physical stamina, and proper mental attitude.

Ability to follow directions, excellent organizational skills.

Working knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.

Function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines.

Handle a fast-paced, frequently changing environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to investigate incidents, interview witnesses, and draft legible, factual reports.

Excellent customer service skills.

Ability to lead and mentor a team.

Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.

Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Desired Qualifications:

Prior work experience in the retail, exhibit, attraction museum, or other public space

Adult + Child + Infant CPR, AED, and First Aid certification

Hidden talents that can be employed as part of the persona include singing, dancing, magic, comedy, conversationalist, impersonator or otherwise

Prior experience with visual merchandising

Bilingual, especially but not limited to English and Spanish

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Work Environment:

This position works primarily in an indoor setting with exposure to noisy environments, dim lighting, strong visual effects including strobing lights, special effects, fog machines and small and/or enclosed spaces.

Physical Demands:

Moving in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces

Remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods

Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers

Positioning or moving objects up to 40 pounds

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Supervisory Responsibility:
