Job Description:Each year Scholastic Book Fairs, in partnership with schools across the country, hosts more than 100,000 book-sale events that give more than 35 million students and their families access to thousands of affordable and educational products, helping foster a lifelong love of reading.We are currently in search of a Remote Sales Manager to guide one of our teams as they seek to achieve their goal of ensuring schools schedule and host successful events. Qualified candidates will be able to lead their team to the achievement of budgeted Fair Counts, net revenue and overall sales program goals, through effective execution of the sales and servicing methods of the company. They will support our mission to encourage reading and promote lifelong learning, and demonstrate our values of caring and respect for all people. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Hire, develop, motivate, and retain above staff through setting clear performance goals on defined metrics, coaching, developing, and reviewing performance.

Ensure the company customer contact plans are executed as per company standards.

Build a customer-focused team and create loyalty by understanding expectations and needs to ensure an exceptional experience.

Responsible for the retention and growth of Scholastic Book Fairs (SBF) customers by providing the highest quality book fairs and service that improves our relationships and success.

Execute obtainment of key performance indicators through products, services and operational efficiencies to maximize revenue growth and profitability, and allocate labor as needed to support the business demands.

Lead through Scholastic’s mission; create vision and inspire others to understand Scholastic’s culture, values, and goals.

Build teamwork with direct reports by communicating important and relevant information to the team and ensuring understanding. Model personal commitment and connectivity to the team.

Lead all sales coaching initiatives within the territory team. Assess team skills, and partner with training specialists to enhance sales skills, presentation skills and relationship building skills, increasing productivity as part of continued development.

QualificationsJOB REQUIREMENTSBA/BS degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or related field.

Minimum of three (3) or more years of proven successful sales management experience with district/territory sales or events management in a multi-million-dollar operating business. Experience in telephone based sales, personal selling, and customer service is preferred.

Prior experience of managing remote teams is a plus!

Proficiency with MS Office software, Salesforce/CRM technology and telecommuting software such as Zoom, WebEx, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet.

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills and aptitude for customer relationship building.

Flexible to travel up to 30%.

Outstanding interpersonal skills with direct reports, peers, superiors (cross functional and throughout the organization), customers, vendors, and other partners.

Proven experience to meet company goals by adding value for customers through products and services offered.

Proven ability to build and grow revenue/quantitative financial and sales analysis skills, including metric analysis.
