Description and FunctionsOpen Until FilledGENERAL DESCRIPTION: Perform a wide range of administrative and office support activities to facilitate the efficient operation of the State Parks, Historic Sites, and Trails Headquarter's office. General filing
Welcome and direct visitors and clients
Sell day-use, camping, off-road vehicle, and snowmobile decals
Answer inbound phone calls
Answer customer requests for information and data
Perform general clerical duties including photocopying, fax, and mailing
Prepare written responses to routine inquiries
Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos, and emails
Schedule and coordinate meetings
Prepare agendas for meetings
Open, sort and distribute mail
Maintain office supply inventories
Assist in distributing supplies to State Parks and Cultural Resources staff
Archive documents on an annual basis or as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
QualificationsPREFERENCES: Preference may be given to applicants with a High School Diploma, plus one to two years of professional work experience as an office assistant or clerk.KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management
Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record-keeping
Skill in the operation of standard office equipment (computer, calculator, Multi-line phone, fax machine, copier, etc.)
Ability to efficiently use Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Skill in planning, organizing, prioritizing, problem assessment, problem-solving, information gathering and information monitoring
Attention to detail, accuracy, flexibility, adaptability, customer service and be willing to assist the rest of the team when needed.

Typically, this position is sedentary while interacting with customers both on the phone and in-person.
The work may also involve standing, walking, bending, and stooping to complete assigned work.
Must be able to lift approximately 30 pounds.

FLSA: Non-exempt
May work 40 hours per week.
