The Infra Site Service Coordinator (ISSC) will be responsible for providing a full range of IT support services to a selected number of sites as well as providing oversight and occasional project management and implementation as needed. In accordance with this high level of responsibility, the individual must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, a high degree of self-motivation, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. This person should be capable of performing basic project management functions like budget management, resource balancing, and project time tracking. The ISSC will be interfacing with many levels of personnel and organizations in a variety of situations and should be comfortable conducting his/her self in a professional, customer service-oriented manner. PRIMARY PURPOSE: To monitor, manage, promote, and support computing technology and standards, policies, and procedures within the Solvay IT community. This position will primarily be based at a designated hub site but will report to Corporate IT and have a myriad of responsibilities including responsibility for supporting additional regional locations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities will include:Local/Regional - Responsible for oversight of all regionally assigned sites. Will function as a primary escalation point for all IT-related issues at supported locations. May be called upon to lead infrastructure projects and to provide IT-related technical recommendations and solutions. This includes recommending and implementing solutions concerning computer-related hardware and software to enhance the computing environment. Corporate - Reporting to Corporate IT- will be a contributing IT team member responsible for promoting implementing and enforcing corporate standard policies, procedures, hardware, and software. Will be called upon to leverage specific areas of expertise and to participate in Corporate initiated projects. Will function as a liaison between site management teams and corporate IT to assist in helping sites determine needs and to plan for any required enhancements to meet the needs of future projects. Half of your time OSS: Supporting IT equipment in a large corporate environmentDesktop/laptop tech supportWindows 7/10 operating systemsSupport mobile devices, printers, scanners, wireless, VPN, etc.IMAC Support - IT equipment Install/Move/Add/ChangeMaintain repairs, spare parts, and componentsResearch and troubleshoot problemsMaintain system configurations and documentationTrack and resolve customer incidents and requests through the client's ticketing toolTroubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for Windows devicesBackup, restoration, and migration of user dataSmart Hands support networking, server, and telecommunications technologiesPrinter and peripheral device supportInventory management of IT assets including asset auditingAbility to research and follow appropriate KB articlesAbility to work on-call and other after-hours support needsMay provide Executive supportVarious other tasks associated with deskside servicesMay need to be available to provide support at other client locations as neededOther duties as assigned REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCES:Bachelor"s degree in related field preferred.Mine Safety and Health Administration Training is a must; will be providedIn-depth knowledge of PC installation, hardware component installation/replacement, and software installationHands-on experience demonstrating expertise with HP and Dell servers in a Microsoft TCP/IP environment running Windows Server 2008 - 2012Experience with a variety of tools for server management, workstation management, and LAN management Experience with resource backup hardware, software and strategies, as well as printers and other peripheralsKnowledge of internetworking components ( i.e., routers, IPVPN, Ethernet, switches, VLANS)Installation and troubleshooting expertise for a variety of network cabling options - fiber optic, Cat6 twisted pairIn-depth experience with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Workstation Operating Systems including Windows 7 64 Bit OS"Knowledge of security principles and concepts -Virus protection, encryption, NTFS security rights Strong time management skills.
