Position Overview:The Radiology Technologist performs radiological procedures and assists the physician during surgeries. Ensures the quality and safety of imaging services at the surgery center.Qualifications:Education/Licensure/Certification:Graduation from an accredited School of Radiological Technology RequiredCurrent CA X-Ray and Fluoroscopy License RequiredBLS/CPR Certification RequiredExperience/Knowledge/Skills: Radiology technologist experience as would typically be obtained in approximately one year of increasingly complex procedures is required. Orthopedic; Pain Management; Spine/Laminectomy Procedures; Urology (stent placement) and/or ESI experience preferred. Previous experience in surgical environment preferred. Adult training experience helpful. Must have a solid working knowledge of proper body mechanics to position patients. Knowledge of infection control practices and OR traffic patterns required. Must have an effective working knowledge of applicable standards and regulations. Must have the ability to communicate well with other healthcare professionals as well as with lay persons The ability to operate and trouble-shoot x-ray and fluoroscopy equipment required. Computer skills are required.
