Position PurposeCargill Meat Solutions has an opportunity available for an IT Support Technician, located in California, MO. Candidates should have a general knowledge and understanding of I/T. This role will be part of the automation teams supporting the plant’s technology processes and the primary point of contact for corporate IT personnel. This position will also have local responsibilities beyond a typical I/T position.Principal Accountabilities50% Serve as the primary point of contact for all technology related systems including phones, PCs, bar code scanners, printers, time clocks, radios and related hardware and software. Assist as necessary with equipment controls including PLCs and related components.30% Manage lifecycle of local IT related hardware assist users with system access, and coordinate local IT activities with Corporate IT, including assisting with technology risk management. Daily communication with plant personnel on any status of issues not immediately resolved.10% Calibration of scales and equipment used on the production floor.10% Work with local telephone companies and other 3rd party contractors on phone systems and voicemail systems (maintain, enable and disable voicemail systems and users, phone codes and usage reports).Relocation will not be provided for this position.Required qualifications

High school diploma and networking IT/PC related college courses or equivalent in experience.

Experience with all Microsoft Applications i.e. Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and SharePoint and TEAMs.

Preferred Qualifications

Associates degree in a computer related area and 2+ years of hands on experience or bachelor’s degree in a computer related area.

Advanced in Spanish.

Able to work with techs and maintenance personnel within the plant and help on any PC or network related tasks.

Initiate, track and ensure resolution of helpdesk tickets submitted to corporate IT.

Must have flexibility and capability to learn additional commercial and internal applications used within the company.
