Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) & Statistical Process Control (SPC) Engineer to join our quality team in Berkeley, MO, Mesa, AZ or Ridley Park, PA.This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.Position Responsibilities:The candidate will lead development & application of AS9145 / Advanced Product Quality Planning & SPC tools, training & processes in collaboration with business unit teams.

Partners with subject matter experts to conduct Quality reviews focused on APQP application to new programs, changes, work movements & new technologies and ensure early quality involvement / APQP execution.

Leads / assists teams to use APQP methods & tools on projects.

Instructs APQP training, leading multi-function, multi-site groups in the use of APQP tools.

Assists in developing company directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure APQP application success.

Leads stakeholders in analysis of product & process data, metrics, models and flows to proactively prevent problems and support APQP & RCCA projects.

Additional roles may include conducting research, leading teams in the implementation of statistical process control to continuously improve process capability using APQP tools, support quality source selection and process capability assessments of suppliers' ability to meet program quality requirements and support business decisions, develop quality criteria,coordinate responses to senior management requests, ensure compliance with quality management system standards and APQP application, train senior leaders on preparation for APQP application.

Candidates must reliably work under minimal direction and be agile to support evolving priorities.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s degree in engineering

3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)

3+ years of experience do you have in root cause analysis and corrective action

Strong presentation and communication skills

1+ years of experience leading and executing Advance Product Quality Planning Activities (APQP)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Production engineering or design engineering experience
