The UPS Store in Northampton, MA has an immediate opening for a retail sale associate / clerk. We are seeking a responsible and dependable employee who thrive in retail / customer service and excels in working with the public. If you are looking for a filler job, this job is not for you. We are seeking someone interested in staying aboard for 1-2 years and hopefully more to grow and become a great asset to our great team.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience in customers service / retail.
Employment type: Part-time 20-30 hours per week however we will consider creating a full time position for the right person.
Shifts: Mix of mornings / afternoons. We can discuss at interview.
Hours we are open daily: 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday - Friday and 9am-5pm on Saturdays. Closed on Sundays.
Scope of job:
-Waiting on and assisting customers.
-Tendering shipping services i.e. UPS, USPS, and DHL
-Copying and printing services
-Mail sorting
-Inventory restocking
-Fielding phone calls and emails from customers
-Cash / Credit handling
-Selling a variety of products and services
-Packaging of fragile and non fragile items to be shipped including antiques, electronics, dish ware, you name it.

Skill requirements
Minimum of 2 years experience in customer service or retail
Must be computer literate and a fast learner when it comes to working with a variety of software programs
Able to lift up to 60 lbs alone
Must have reliable transportation to get to work.
Must be highly reliable as we are a small team and depend on each other to operate daily
Must pass a cori background check
