Job Description

Your New Role

The focus of the role is to developand deliver security across programs, and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment.As a leading role, it requires an ability to perform the following functions as individual assignments or as part of a team:

  • Research and recommend security regulations that apply to company’s and customer’s compliance and contract execution
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements and procedural changes for preventative maintenance and security
  • Protect government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorised disclosures
  • Administer facility access control procedures and protection measures
  • Conduct initial review of specific contractor visit requests for accuracy, reviewing applicable databases to ensure personnel are appropriately cleared and authorised
  • Maintain files in accordance with the approved standards
  • Develop, implement, maintain and review security policies and practices.
  • Assist in investigation of security violations and prepare reports specifying preventive action to be taken
  • Participate in Security Management Committees, working groups and forums
  • Comply with legislation and Company policies, processes and instructions, including those relating to non-discrimination, environment, safety, duty of care, and the quality management system.

Qualifications

About You and What You'll Bring

Coupled with your education and practical experience, you will demonstrate a pro-active approach with the ability to understand the business, identify issues and develop relationships to achieve the company’s objectives.Experience to include:

  • Bid support (working with BD team members to ensure compliance in the bid process, contributing content to sales documents, shorter term high intensity sprints, little to no access to authorities etc.)

  • Project Support (delivering compliance-based artifacts, working with delivery team, managing the security hurdle that typically impacts schedules by heavy engagement with authorities)

  • Sustainment (BAU funding, maintaining an existing framework, internal stakeholder focus for most of the year, sporadic authority engagement, etc.).

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and ideally hold an NV1 or NV2 security clearance.
