SURGICAL TECH - OUTPATIENT SURGERY

Position DescriptionMeridian Mark is multi-specialty outpatient surgical center. Surgical specialties include:Orthopedics/Sports MedicineGYN (including robotic)ENTPlasticsColorectalPodiatrySurgical Technicians are trained and able to support all of the specialties, while working efficiently in a close team environment. The service lines are supported with three Resource Surgical Technicians and three Clinical Supervisors who function as the Service Line Coordinators. Surgical Technicians collaborate with other professional disciplines, including nurses, surgeons, and anesthesia to ensure effective patient care and achievement of desired patient outcomes, while utilizing AORN Standards. The surgery center features 6 Preop rooms, 6 Operating Rooms, 8 PACU bays, and 8 Extended Recovery rooms. The Surgical Technologist performs various tasks and duties to provide technical assistance and support to surgical staff and personnel during surgical proceduresPosition RequirementsKNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREDGraduate of an accredited surgical technology program or at least 5 years of experience in an OR setting working as a Surgical Technician or Surgical Technologist.BLSKNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERREDCertification in Surgical Technology.Surgical Technologist with one (1) or more years of experience.License/Certification Requirements: NoWork Hours: 6:45a-3:15pWeekend Requirements: NoOn-Call Requirements: NoNorthside Hospital is an Equal Opportunity employer.
