Armed Security Officers - 24/7 - $23.00 ph

We are hiring several officers to provide Fully Uniformed, Armed security for multiple sites on the Las Vegas strip, operating 24/7, with openings across all three shifts.

Site Information:

Each site is in a retail setting with direct access to the strip. However, we are not working as undercover loss prevention. We are a fully uniformed presence to deter crime, theft and provide a safer environment for the store employees. Each shift is 8.5 hours (with a 30-minute lunch and 2 ten-minute breaks). Outside of the authorized breaks, officers will be required to stand post with foot patrols in and around the site location.

Requirements:

Generally, this account calls for that of an Off Duty Police Officer. However, with constraints on law enforcement we have been authorized to post these sites with Security Professionals. With that said, applicants MUST already be PILB UNARMED certified and able to immediately take the armed course to upgrade to Armed for consideration and MUST submit a current resume that details their experience in security (law enforcement is a plus). We ARE NOT looking for just a guard. We need professionals that know how to communicate with the public, present a positive and professional image and effectively respond to and resolve conflict when necessary. Officers must be able to operate a CAD system for generating shift logs and reports, so computer literacy is an absolute requirement.

Compensation:

Pay for this assignment for those that have had a POST certification STARTS at $23.00 per hour.

Pay for those with qualifying security experience but have never had a POST starts at $20.00 per hour.

Reviews are conducted after 90 and 180 days of employment and based on review scores, officers are eligible for a pay increase after each review. Additional reviews are conducted after each anniversary date of employment, where an additional pay increase is also considered based on review scores. After 180 days, officers are also eligible for the company medical program. In addition to the pay, officers will also receive certifications for the Axon Taser, OC Spray, ASP Baton, Verbal Judo and other skills.

Again, we are not looking for a guard that will just sit around and constantly be on their phone. As detailed, this is normally an Off Duty Police Officer assignment. So, if you have never had a POST and you do not consider yourself to be of that caliber professionally and image wise, this is not an assignment for you!
