Client is seeking an Instrumentation &Equipment Specialist, Quality Control, who will be responsible for managing QC instruments and equipment. This role will acquire and decommission equipment, ensure equipment is adequately qualified, maintained, calibrated, and will also provide daily support to analysts as required.The position requires a good understanding of laboratory instruments and equipment, as well as test methods. Specific Responsibilities

  • Represent the QC laboratory for most activities related to QC instruments and equipment
  • Initiate planned and unplanned work with external parties including Validation, Engineering Quality Assurance, and vendors.
  • Support QC services by ensuring that instruments/equipment are maintained, calibrated, and that unplanned maintenance is immediately scheduled and executed.
  • Collaborate with QC and external functions to ensure testing schedules are maintained and that processes are optimized
  • Network with other areas to understand best practices, share knowledge, and participate in global meetings to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Provide training, documentation and post- implementations support to users of new instruments/equipment.
  • Author/Review/Execute qualification and/or validation protocols as needed.
  • Author Change Controls as needed.
  • Ensure compliance to country regulations, Health Authority guidelines, and company SOPS
  • Support inventory management of critical materials.
Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant scientific field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a cGMP QC environment
  • Proficient and familiar with the operation of laboratory equipment such as plate readers, flow cytometers, HPLCs, spectrophotometers, etc.
  • Experience and good understanding of laboratory equipment qualification and computer system validation requirements.
  • Strong oral, written communication, and interpersonal interaction skills
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills
  • Able to balance priorities while maintaining a high level of productivity
