SummaryYou will serve as an IT Specialist (INFOSEC) in the Ranges/Targets Ops & Labs Group/China Lake Ranges Instrumentation & Data Sys Div of NTWK Integrity Sec of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.ResponsibilitiesYou will develop and maintain an IA program that identifies IT architecture, IA/IT requirements, IA/IT objectives and policies, and IA processes and procedures with direct support provided by the Department ISSO Lead.You will ensure that information ownership responsibilities are established for each DoD information system, to include accountability, access approvals, and special handling requirements with supervision.You will maintain assigned eMASS records, update attached documents, and modify the record as changes occur. You will Ensure that users complete SAAR-N forms and user agreements, and keep those results on file with the IT/IM DepartmentYou will verify that compliance monitoring has occurred, and report the results of such monitoring to the Department Lead. You will work directly with the Department ISSO Lead or IAM to ensure that IA inspections, tests, and reviews are coordinated.You will ensure organizational information systems are operated, used, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and practices.You will ensure that assigned organizational network(s), site(s), system(s), or application(s) are certified and accredited.You will enforce security policies and safeguards on ALL personnel having access to the information system(s). Maintain the proper knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform duties as an ISSO.RequirementsConditions of EmploymentQualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Developing, maintaining and tracking computer security accreditation and documentation in accordance with policy. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Working as part of a team with other Cybersecurity and InfoSec personnel supporting varied computing configurations. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Providing internal/external support to customers. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Ensuring that information ownership responsibilities are established for each DoD information system, to include accountability, access approvals, and special handling requirements. In addition to the experience demonstrating the four competencies above, Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, DS-03 (GS-9/10) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following: 1)Developing and/or maintaining an Information Assurance (IA) program; 2)Coordinating IA inspections, tests and reviews, reporting any incidents appropriately; 3) Ensuring networks, sites, systems, and/or applications are certified and accredited; 4) Enforcing security policy and safeguards in the operation, use, maintenance, and disposal of information systems.
