Provide leadership, mentoring and support for a team of junior staff across projects with a focus on materials development including managing project timelines, meetings, deliverables, work plans, staff teams and budgets.

Support implementation of communication strategies and tactics to reach and engage audiences to increase visibility of government data, resources, and materials.

Synthesizes complex health information and data to deliver impactful messaging tailored to specific target audiences.

Support project managers in strategic communications planning with an emphasis on partnership development and engagement, materials development, and strategic stakeholder outreach.

As a Diabetes Health Communication Manager, you will have:Bachelor’s degree in health communication, public relations, social sciences, public health, or equivalent required.

5+ years of communications experience, government experience preferred.

Demonstrated experience working with federal health agencies, such as the NIH and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, among others developing, and implementing public health communications campaigns.

Significant knowledge of diabetes and experience developing communication materials or resources for people at risk or living with diabetes and the healthcare professionals working in this field.

Demonstrated experience developing marketing materials and implementing outreach strategies for audiences disproportionately affected by diabetes.

Strong writing skills for various channels including web content, social media, news releases, fact sheets and newsletter copy.

Ability to manage and mentor a team of junior communications professionals.

Demonstrated ability to build partnership relationships and networks to advance client objectives and disseminate communication materials.

Excellent verbal, written, organizational skills, and ability to interface effectively with all levels of the company and client.

Ability to quickly understand problems, synthesize large amounts of information, and provide succinct recommendations that tie back to overall account communication strategies and tactics.

Ability to “connect the dots” across other tasks within the contract and see “big picture” opportunities for contract enhancements.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final salary for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The salary range for Colorado is - $80,656.00-$137,116.00Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
