Ecotex is looking for a talented individual that is well ready to take the lead as a Manager/Supervisor of a large laundry facility for afternoon hours. This individual must feel comfortable working in a faced paced environment and have communication skills when dealing with employees and staff. This is a leader-level position requiring laundry operations experience that will be responsible for overseeing a complete laundry facility handling linen laundering for hospital linens. This role has responsibility for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of laundering equipment by an assigned team of up to 50 team members.

The Production Manager/Supervisor position supervises production workers.

The candidate will also be responsible for accurate reporting of the department productivity using excel, word, and any other reporting tools and timely completion of work assignments with a high level of productivity while maintaining high positivity in a fast-paced work environment. Job duties will include the following but will not be limited to.

Strong understanding of the commercial laundry equipment including but not limited to; Washers, dryers, sheet folders, steam tunnels, conveyor belts, Ironers, and transportation conveyors.

Candidate will be expected to record daily productivity and interpret daily ordering in excel or other computer applications. Attendance of team members will also be tracked through this position.

Candidate will oversee and facilitate equipment training ensuring all team members meet high standards for safety.

Candidate shall possess strong troubleshooting skills for laundry equipment to resolve minor jams and/or loading issues.

Strong computer skills and software knowledge will be required. The position will be in periodic use of electronic MMS work order systems, and company-specific programs.

Candidate will be expected to demonstrate safe work practices with a solid understanding of safety requirements when working with Steam and other high-temperature equipment.

Per OSHA guidelines, the candidate must participate in all company-provided safety training and follow all required safety guidelines and processes established in the department. Additionally, will work to ensure all team members they supervise meet all compliance requirements and training deadlines.

Should be able to communicate professionally in correspondence.

Will be required to hit deadlines and complete job tasks as set by leadership without direct monitoring or oversight. Additionally, candidates will oversee hourly team members in their daily job duties and assignments.

Must be flexible to schedule additional hours if needed for assistance with various projects or onsite coverage.

Must have the ability to handle tools, supplies, and equipment exceeding 50lbs, utilizing tool assistance as needed.

Will mentor and develop any entry-level positions and own the responsibility for their exposure and progress if assigned. Also, must provide coaching and praise as warranted and lead in daily communications with team members.

Assists in assuring the cost-effective operation of the plant, while maintaining a safe work environment for the staff.

Acts as a liaison with the Chief Engineer/Engineering Manager to assure the safe operation and upkeep of all production equipment

Assists Office Manager to ensure all human resource issues such as training, regulatory compliance, staffing, payroll, and benefits administrations for the entire staff is scheduled and completed within policy requirements

Participates in the plant safety committee and oversees the regulatory compliance for all required agencies; knowledge of HLAC, OSHA, and JACHAO requirements

Attends, participates, and documents laundry surveys for potential clients

Assists the Operations Manager with annual performance appraisals of staff as well as disciplinary/coaching for improvement procedures

Assists the Operations Manager in forecasting for capital requests/expenditures; helps to manage the installation and operation of all new equipment; assists the Chief Engineer/Engineering Manager in reviewing new equipment and productivity improvement issues

Develops action plans and Personal Development Plans (PDP) for the current supervisory team, assuring their growth and success; must be able to develop a succession plan for his/her position so as the business grows there is a successful development of our corporate culture when new and additional job opportunities present themselves

Skills/Qualifications:

Supervision/Management or equivalent work experience, BS/BA optional but preferred

A minimum of 1 to 3 years of operations/management experience - preferably laundry operations with large-scale plants in management or commercial field required

Must be ambitious

Possess strong interpersonal skills

Have a friendly and helpful attitude

Must be able to work independently, doing physical job functions in the plant on occasion

Bi-lingual Spanish and English preferred but not required

Computer skills (MS products including Excel)

Good communication skills (oral and written)

Production floor with varying temperatures

Work Schedule: (hours may vary but mostly afternoon and evening hours, weekends on and off required)
