Logistics Coordinator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Communicates with customer representatives and customers via phone or email and receives orders, responsible to answer emails and calls in a timely, accurate and professional manner. The expectations are the every email be replied to within 15 minutes of the receipt of the email.

Understands customer requirements to ensure all necessary information is gathered and utilized correctly.

Process orders accurately utilizing customers applications and HSS applications.

Generates required documents; i.e. packing slips, bill of lading, airway bills, international documents, TSA paperwork, manifests, etc.

Thoroughly reviews own work to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Understands time constraints in effect; i.e. cutoff times, carrier requirements, processing needs, response requirements and deadlines.

Complete all necessary follow up to ensure that the customer’s request has been fulfilled.

Processes and analyzes required reports i.e. a daily check list which consists of reports that need to be ran and worked every day, along with two weekly reports that must be ran and emailed by 3:00 PM every Monday.

Solicits customer feedback to improve customer service skills and to provide the sales group with possible leads.

Receives complaints of services failures and works with appropriate personnel through investigation and resolution while understanding scorecard requirements.

Education and/or Experience – High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).

Language Skills - Ability to read and comprehend customer instructions as well as customer procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports as well as correspond easily with internal and external customers.

Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual must have proficient knowledge of MS Office Applications, knowledge of Customer Inventory Control and Courier software a plus. Ability to assist IT in resolving system issues.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations - Successfully pass TSA Security Threat Assessment/Testing.
