The Quality Testing technician evaluates and performs specified tests on manufactured products and product formulations to ensure conformance to specifications.

MUST BE WILLING TO WORK OFF SHIFT, WEEKENDS, OVERTIME

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required

College/Technical Degree preferred

Experience: 1-3 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Essential Duties:

- Operates Quality Testing Equipment by following procedures that include compounding, injection molding, mixing and milling; performing color evaluations with color computer and visual assessment; following and clarifying processing specifications; determining causes of operation errors by troubleshooting and performing routine maintenance; completing pre-manufacturing tests; scaling formulas to quantity necessary for customer requirements; physical testing tasks used for the evaluation of materials according to procedures/specifications.

- Demonstrates mechanical aptitude by operating and understanding all required quality testing equipment necessary for successful completion of assigned tasks; and safely operating power industrial vehicles as needed

- Maintains Documentation by recording quality testing specifications; recording labor hours; verifying formulas; accessing Oracle data, and verifying lot identification.

- Demonstrates Math Skills by analyzing qualitative data; performing mathematical calculations; working with alphanumeric sequences.

- Demonstrates Color Skills by understanding color science and theory; and ability to evaluate color (hue, chroma, shade)

- Improves Job Knowledge by attending training and keeping relevant knowledge and skills current.

- Demonstrates Interpersonal skills by working independently and with a team; attention to detail; effective time management; ability to meet deadlines; communicating product status.

- Contributes to Organization Success by meeting team and company goals; demonstrating company principles and policies; helping others accomplish job results; following all Quality System and safety protocol; safely operating equipment; wearing proper protective equipment; completing safety training; and contributing to safety goal of zero accidents; keeping work areas clean and organized; meeting attendance guidelines; develops and assists in implementation of ideas for continuous improvement.
