Join our mission today.This position is primarily responsible for safely transporting hazardous material within a 75 mile radius of the facility. This position is also responsible for preparing materials to be offered for shipment.RESPONSIBILITIESSafely transport dangerous goods materials.Load and unload product shipments from shipping containersGenerate packaging labels, including placing labels on shipping containers and completing proper shipping documents.Manage packaging/shipping materials inventory.Arrange transportation services directly with carriers and freight forwarders.Use FedEx/Customer shipping portal software effectively.Maintain and organize the dock and the inventory areas; 5S.Safely operate forklift to transport material.Ensure that items are properly packed and labeled.Process outgoing shipments by checking them physically.Processes customer and supplier returns.Build/assemble wooden and fiberboard crates and boxesMust be punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance, including, but not limited to, attendance standards and work deadlines; beginning and ending assignments on time; and scheduled work breaks; where applicable.Must be able to communicate effectively with fellow peers and supervisors.Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlinesHigh degree of initiative, personal responsibility and ability to plan and be well organizedAbility to establish effective working relationshipsGood verbal and written communication skillsMust professionally and reliably function in a team environmentMust be able to lift and carry a minimum of 35 poundsOther duties assigned.EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:High School Diploma, or equivalent.QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCEMinimum of 2 years shipping and forklift operator experience, preferred.Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, preferredAt Collins, the paths we pave together lead to limitless possibility.
