As a member of the software engineering team, you will have the opportunity to have an impact and become an expert on our strategic solution supporting our data modernization strategy.Job Overview:The Software Engineer-III designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. Determines software’s compatibility with hardware and/or influences software's design in relation to hardware.Essential Duties and Responsibilities :Design, code, document and test features, functionalities, enhancements, and defects

Deliver enterprise-grade quality software in a timely manner

Document and communicate complex technical topics within and outside the immediate development team

Use Agile software development methodologies

Perform thorough testing of deliverables including automating unit tests

Build subject matter expertise within the current product domain

Optimize software design to leverage platform capabilities.

Perform benchmarking and prototyping tasks

Takes ownership of customer issues and effectively communicate with Support/SEs to resolve field questions/issues

Willingness to teach and grow junior team members

Excellent listening skills

Effectively works within the team and across teams including QA, Technical Writers

Required Qualifications:Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience.

Applied knowledge on C/C Experience with z/OS:

Applied knowledge of z/OS Assembler

Applied knowledge of z/OS COBOL

Applied knowledge of z/OS TSO/E

Applied knowledge of z/OS UNIX System Services

Applied knowledge on JCL

Applied knowledge on REXX

Mastery of data structures and algorithms.

Able to write high-quality code rapidly.

Able to present a track record of solving problems of increasing complexity

Good understanding of trade-offs in solving problems that have variable levels of complexity.

Deep understanding of memory allocation and management mechanism, security mechanisms, processing allocation mechanisms of target operating systems.

Preferred Qualifications:Network programming (TCP/IP)

CLIST

Java

Python

Linux, AIX
