Job#: 1277388 Job Description: Apex is seeking an experienced industrial metrology specialist to assist with survey and alignment team with inspection, fiducialization, assembly alignment, installation alignment, mapping and smoothing operations for a new large-scale particle accelerator. Responsibilities will include working with others on the development and implementation of comprehensive measurement plans for the alignment of >200 complex machine module assemblies and beamline components and their installation and positioning within the accelerator ring geometry to a tolerance of The applicant should have a significant training and experience in the utilization of 3D coordinate metrology instruments and software for large-scale industrial metrology applications involving high-technology equipment. Experience with managing large data sets. Ability to provide training and guidance for less experienced technicians. Experience in development and implementation of workplace safety practices for the control and mitigation of hazards. Experience with particle accelerators is preferred, but not required.Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceMinimum Education and Experience Requirements:- BS with experience in Geomatics, Survey Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or Science in a related field AND
- Advanced degree or 5+ years of experience with survey, alignment or industrial metrology principles and practices.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of specialized software and instrumentation used in acquiring and analyzing metrology data.
