Find your future with us.Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is currently looking for an Experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join the Production Engineering team located in El Segundo, CA. Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide Manufacturing Engineering support for an electronics assembly lab.
  • Lead equipment and process qualification efforts for new manufacturing technologies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies for a surface mount technologies.
  • Participate as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the integration of technical solutions.
  • Lead the execution of a robust manufacturing readiness review process.
  • Develop key process indicators to measure manufacturing health.
  • Conduct hardware and build planning reviews as needed.
  • Resolve technical problems and assists in the implementation of new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
  • Assist in the implementation of Lean principles and process control.
  • Interface with professional associations, suppliers, IPTs and internal customers to develop robust manufacturing processes.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes , lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):
  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
  • 3 or more years of experience working with space electronics in a manufacturing, production engineering, or design engineering role.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):
  • More than 5 years of experience working in an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years of experience working with space electronics or aerospace flight hardware.
  • 3+ years of experience of mechanical assembly of electronic components equipment.
Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
