ABOUT YOUR ROLE

Working in the Global Automation team, leading a team of around 10 developers and/or formatters who manage the variable data automation setup in Avery Dennison tools & systems, to ensure the item from ordering to manufacturing process run automatically.

This role is responsible for providing support for automated solutions during product development and assuring quality. He/She is required to demonstrate consistency in all procedures and maintain a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and flexibility to internal and external customers.

  • Supervise the team's activity to meet the established targets and providetraining, provide technical solution for the setup
  • Communicatewith local and overseas teamsincluding Development Team, CS, IT, Project Team, to understand the requirement clearly for the setup
  • Drive customer programs launch and ensure solutions are available in time
  • Provide professional technical solution to the team and related parties
  • Collaborate with Global Automation team in different regions and other functional teams to align and achieve overall company goals
  • Improve/streamline current change practices to improve team productivity
  • Ensure adherence of existing standards such as coding conventions, procedures, operational manuals and consistency of formatting, etc.
  • Assist Manager for approaching all the execution of initiatives
  • Build strong relationships, willing to drive team to deliver business requirements at pace and with minimum conflict
  • Assign responsibility to direct reports providing them with the direction and confidence to deliver results in team
  • Ensure all team members are properly trained and have clear instructions on daily work
  • Regularly evaluate the performance and provide suitable development to the team

Qualifications

  • University graduate with degree in Business / Management / Computing / Engineering or a related discipline is preferred
  • 2+ Year working experience in team management is a must
  • 2+ Year Experience in the labeling manufacturing industry is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of programming is an advantage, but not a must.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English, and team player spirit
  • Strong execution, carry out multiple activities and drive team to deliver product/service
  • Detail and problem solving oriented.
  • Strong in Troubleshooting skills, documentation skills
  • Good in change management
  • Well organized and rigorous, and highly motivated
