Cook / Chef

A college Fraternity is seeking a full time cook / chef at DePauw University in Greencastle, IN. An ideal candidate will have a high school degree and three (3) to five (5) years of experience managing a kitchen and group meal preparation.

Summary of Position:

Responsible for preparing a variety of nutritious, wholesome meals. Responsible for preparing meals taking into consideration nutrition, food availability, and budget requirements.

A hot lunch and hot dinner will be served Monday - Thursday and brunch on Friday.

Expected hours are 8am - 5pm Monday - Thursday and 9:00am - 1:00pm on Friday. Stocking of kitchenette (Continental Breakfast) each day and for the weekend is expected at the end of each shift.

Responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen area. This includes the kitchen, pantry, and storeroom.

Ensure and provide for a back‐up/emergency food plan in times of planned or unplanned absences.

Be responsible for the ordering of food (including Continental breakfast bar items), overseeing the proper storage of food, and maintaining records.

Responsible for cleaning of dishes used in preparation of food.
